    Emily Scott, LCMFT, LMFT, RPT

Coming from a playful perspective Emily loves to help children and teens find their self-worth and express their true feelings in ways they can understand and be understood.

Emily provides a safe and playful presence with children and teens of all ages and enjoys collaborating with support systems to achieve lasting change. She always works from a trauma-informed perspective, whether treating anxiety, depression, emotional, sexual, or physical abuse/neglect, divorce, adoption, or any other potentially disruptive event that impacts one’s ability to fully enjoy relationships with others. She is a strong believer that we are both hurt and healed in relationships. Keeping that in mind she strives to create a therapy experience that is supportive, safe, and consistent for all clients.

Emily holds a master’s degree in Family Therapy from Friends University and is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Emily has completed the Play Therapy Certificate program at Heartland Play Therapy Institute. In her spare time, Emily likes to volunteer with MOCSA, an organization that helps children and adults heal from sexual trauma.
